Telecommunication & Networking (BTN)

The study of telecommunication and networking and exiting and challenging area with a mission to develop the future work force for booming telecom industry and the IT markets. The program is focus to cater the needs of new requirements recently arisen in the Pakistani current and future job market due to influx of many multinational companies, who have decided to run their business in Pakistan, for instance Telenor, Warid, Mobilink, ufone, world Call , World Bridge and many many others in the making.

 BSTN is an industry oriented focus degree program to fulfill its human resources requirements. In CS focus is only development of software’s (& hardware) while in TN focus is on applying technology solution to business problems and telecom service sector. CS requires a strong mathematics background while TN requires additional Domain knowledge in communication and networks.

            The curriculum is design in accordance with global telecom standards and the degree is recognized by HEC the proposed program on the other hand has a wide focus including what not limited to communications and networks, which has become the practical needs of every industry whose is using networks in one-way or the other. This program will offer a telecom or networks as major specialization. The wide range elective would determine the area likes voice data networks telecom and satellites communications etc.
